Mohammad Reza Shajarian | Vocalist
(born September 23, 1940 in Mashhad, Iran) is an internationally and critically acclaimed Persian traditional singer, composer and Master (Ostad) of Persian music. A living legend of Persian classical music, Shajarian is also known for his mastery of Persian calligraphy and humanitarian activities.
His best works has been in collaboration with Parviz Meshkatian, Mohammad Reza Lotfi, Hossein Alizadeh, and Faramarz Payvar. His singing is technically flawless, powerful, and strongly emotional. In Persian classical Dastgah music, singing is the most difficult art to master and Shajarian is the embodiment of the perfect singer and a major source of inspiration. In 1999 UNESCO in

Homayoun Shajarian | Tombak Player/Vocalist
(born May 21, 1975) is a renowned Persian classical music vocalist, as well as a Tombak and Kamancheh player.
He was born in Tehran in a music-dedicated family. He is the son of Mohammad Reza Shajarian, who is in turn the grand master vocalist of Traditional Persian music. Upon his father's advice, he began studying knowledge of technique and rhythm under supervision of Nasser Farhangfar, master of Persian musical instrument: Tombak, at the age of five. Afterwards, he also continued learning Tombak under Jamshid Mohebbi's supervision. He commenced learning Persian traditional vocal Avaz at the age of ten, alongside his senior sisters under father’s supervision and gained knowledge of Avaz techniques and voice-producing. Simultaneously, he attended Tehran Conservatory of Music and chose Kamancheh as his professional instrument as well as being tutored by Ardeshir Kamkar. Was born into a family of artists from the Iranian province Semnan. During his studies of string instruments and composition at the

Moreover, he has composed for myriads of international musicians, such as the greatly renowned Iranian Singer Mohammadreza Shajarian (Album “Dar Khial”). Majid’s declared ambition is to familiarize western culture with Iranian classical music.
He views himself as an ambassador of these magnificently mystical melodies which themselves lead dynamic lives of their own where change is certain and compulsory. Thus, a novel musical style developed, that spices oriental music with European elements. The subliminal magic of his harmonies enthrall unswervingly, enchanting people of all ages. Saeed Farajpouri was born in 1961 in Sanandaj, Saeed Farajpouri was a member of the Culture and Art Ensemble of Sanandaj, and has performed with the acclaimed ensembles Sheyda, Aref, Avat and Puyvar.
